Introducing The Simpsons Stamps

Homer42-43-44-singles-v6Today saw the release of a sneak peek of the new Simpsons stamps which will go on sale in the US from May 7. The stamps come in 5 designs, one dedicated to each member of the Simpsons family.

Each of the 44 cent stamps have been hand-drawn by Matt Greoning himself, as a continuation of the year-long “Best. 20 Years. Ever” celebration, commemorating 20 years of The Simpsons.

Fans can now use the USPS website to pre-order booklets of the stamps, and the postage stamp art has also been immortalised in the form of large, high quality posters thanks to PostageStampArt.com.

Hmm. I’m not to keen on them. I think I’d prefer proper drawings of the characters than these kind. They look like a amateur fan has drawn them.

i like ‘em, they look like somebody actually drew them instead of just slapping on some generic promo art and calling it a day

Yeah, these are nice, but I expected that stamps will contain some of the classic scenes from series, or the Simpsons in some nice landscape, on holiday, or some scenes from every day Simpsons life (like work, school, family time, weekends and something like that).
This concept is quite different from my idea, but it’s also nice…
