Since the switch to HD, the animation has gone all wonkey. I still miss the hand-drawn animation and how sterile the show felt when it first switched to computers sometime in the late-teens, but the switch to HD really made the show look uncared for by it's own teams. The animation was going off-model more than the 3rd season. I give credit to the writers, as they were obviously trying to get back to some of the old flavor of the older storylines instead of the constant zaniness that some of the recent seasons have had. Overall season 20 felt a bit of a bust, especially with the HD switch. I'll still always watch the show, but I find myself laughing less and less.
