First Look: Ricardo Bomba from Million Dollar Maybe

Fox have released a new promotional image from this Sunday’s premiere of “Million Dollar Maybe”, which gives us our first look at Ricardo Bomba, the original character created by Peggy Black of Orange, CT, winner of last year’s Simpsons Character Contest.

It is currently unknown what role he will play in the episode, although he has been described by Fox as “a smooth-talking ladies’ man from South America with a luxurious black mane, a chiseled physique and a voice as smooth as silk. By day, Ricardo works as a safety inspector at the nuclear power plant, and by night, he works Springfield’s singles scene – melting women’s hearts all over town.”

Catch him this Sunday in “Million Dollar Maybe” at 8pm on Fox.

Actually I think this could be a hysterical and funny character if executed correctly, but I think they can do it. I’m really looking forward to seeing this and Peggy Black was quite right when she said that Springfield still lacks this kind of a character! And the Simpsons has been running for 20 years now people!

Aww, I was hoping for a good design. I don’t really like it :(
But still looking foward to the execution of Ricardo

Ricardo looks like a Snake, but according to that short description he is kinda different, like no other character in the Simpsons. Hope he’ll bring some much needed fresh are in the show, one heartbreaker is always interesting material… :D

I so think this character could work, but not as a permanent one. :-/
I don’t like the look much, either. And he died! What?

    Ricardo is dead.

Well, he didn’t last very long. I hope Peggy Black isn’t too disappointed.

Yeah! He didn’t last very long. Maybe the writers will find some genius incredible way to bring him back.

Can’t wait for the next episode.( It looks so cool!!)

How much money did Fox spend on this contest? Only to kill the character off in 3 seconds? What was the point? The character didn’t even do what the script said he was supposed to do…and that was to give advice to Homer on what to do with Marge. Even the press release from January 29 said that. Disappointing. Was looking forward to more Ricardo… :(

And not to mention…killing of Ricardo so suddenly was also a big “F.U” to the contest winner and her hard work. Very rude.

After several months of hype this is what they do with the contest winner? What a waste of time. Feel bad for the winner.

Are you sure they won’t find a way to have him back?
It would only be a waste of time AND money not to do so.
