New Episode: The Squirt And The Whale

Another new episode will air in North America tonight. This one is titled ‘The Squirt and the Whale’. Once again, we’ve only been given a brief synopsis to promote this week’s episode:

The Simpson family erect a turbine in their back yard. When Homer realizes that some of the power from the turbine is directed for the local electric company, he removes their house from the grid. Meanwhile, a storm appears and Homer and Lisa try to save a 100-foot long whale, brought to shore by the storm.

The episode airs at 8.00pm, following a rerun of Million Dollar Maybe, which originally aired on January 31 this year.

Looking good! I think this episode ties in with Earth day which by the way was on Thursday.

Hope the ratings are good too!

I liked this episode a lot. Lisa is one of my favorite characters, but the jokes and sight gags in this episode were great. It had a nice story to it too, which is why The Simpsons will always rank higher in my book than cheap humor shows.

Who is singing the finale song in this episode? Very touching.

Yeah, I thought the seagull exploding was great. Reminiscent of Sherri Bobbins’ death.

This was an amazing episode. I was only expecting it to be average based on the 15 second promo I saw but it really surprised me. It had a great, original, emotional story and awesome jokes throughout the whole show.

      Some of my favorites:
Comic book guy: “I’m Captain Kirk from Star Trek 1…2…5…Next Generation…Boston Legal”
Homer saying the shark was a reptile.
Homer asking if Lisa was calling him fat.
      The seagull exploding.
The drawings at the end about Homer’s idea about the whale marrying an octopus.

This episode is definitely on my all time favorites list.
