Ratings: Chief Of Hearts

A total of 5.93 million viewers tuned in to watch last night’s new episode ‘Chief Of Hearts’. These figures are a slight improvement over what we’ve been seeing recently. Fox was last overall for the night in total viewers, as well as in the target 18 – 49 demographic. This is due to most of their lineup being reruns (The Simpsons and American Dad being the only exceptions). The Country Music Awards on CBS won the night, but probably didn’t take away much of Fox’s demographic.

At 7:30pm, a rerun of Rednecks and Broomsticks attracted 2.46 million viewers. Reruns of The Cleveland Show and Family Guy followed The Simpsons with 5.09 million and 6.03 million viewers respectively, while a new American Dad had 5.17 million.

The Simpsons won the half-hour in the 18-49 demo.

Have you noticed that animation domination on FOX is completely failing. Family guy is the top preformer with 6.03 million? It’s not just The Simpsons. (really good episode by the way) It seemed kinda messed up that Krusty had cocaine in his fake nose but im not surprised.

In all fairness, the Family Guy was just a rerun, so if it was a new episode I’d expect it to be a bit higher.

Still, lower than it used to be.

The viewers are going down but the 18-49 rating (which matters) are staying up at a 2.7 which is very good and during football season it is one of the highest rated comedies so it is doing very well

You know it might have helped if the TWC built-in TV Guide hadn’t listed The Simpsons as a rerun. We had no idea it would be a new episode.

The episode ranked 24th in the weekly rating in the 18-49 demographic and won it’s timeslot. The show is still holding on strong…for now
