New Episode: To Surveil With Love

A new episode titled ‘To Surveil With Love’ airs in North America tomorrow night.

A bomb squad mistakenly blows up Homer’s unattended gym bag, releasing radiation into the city and authorities react by suspending civil liberties. Wiggum and his men install surveillance cameras around Springfield and round up suspected terrorists, including groundskeeper Willie, but when monitoring the nonstop flow of video imagery proves to be too much, Wiggum enlists concerned citizens to help keep the city safe. Authorities install an overload of surveillance cameras – which her majesty the queen (Eddie Izzard) enjoys as a reality tv show. Meanwhile, Lisa becomes fed up with being blonde, so she dyes her hair a dark color.

For “Fox Rocks,” the Simpsons characters sing along to pop sensation Ke$ha’s smash hit “TiK ToK” during a special musical couch gag.

I can’t believe that The Simpsons would make a couch gag involving someone like her. I bet in five years people wont even remember who this Ke$sha was and the couch gag wont make any sense. It already doesn’t make sense to me. WHY? WHY? WHY? I know that it’s not going to be long because it’s just a cough gag but it completely discourages me from even watching the episode. I feel like puking just thinking about it.

This is such a great episode! I’m watching the last few minutes of it right now. The opening sequence was awesome. The jokes are bang on and they’re coming fast and furious! Great satire all around.

And the show was doing so well this season too….The couch gag was horrid and the whole episode was just unfunny. I hate to sound like a grieving fanboy, but this was the worst episode ever (saying a lot, since for the most part I think the show is still great).
