New Episode: Donnie Fatso

Donnie Fatso airs tonight in North America. Homer spends New Year’s Eve in the Springfield Penitentiary after getting caught bribing an official. An FBI investigator (Jon Hamm) offers to reduce his jail time if Homer agrees to go undercover as an informant to investigate Fat Tony. When Homer forges a special bond with Fat Tony and his family, he becomes conflicted between his obligation to the government and his loyalty to his new family. After an unexpected turn of events, Fat Tony’s cousin Fit Tony (Joe Mantegna) seeks to settle a score with Homer, but winds up teaching him an important lesson.

This was a great episode unlike last week! Fat Tony’s death really shocked me (even though he is replaced by his cousin! By the way, does anyone now what is the name of the music put in the couch gag?!

I did not get to see this till some time today Monday the 13 because my family was at my sisters house watching my baby nephew while my two nieces were staring in a ballet production of the nut cracker so while the simpsons was on at 8 PM, I was driving down to my house. so now that I have finally seen the episode I thought it was really funny, it had the right amount of jokes and humor and it had an emotional story as well. I think that’s the difference between Groening cartoons and the rest, Groening cartoons have emotion and make you care about the characters wear as the rest like the family guy and there incarnations are all joke driven and no emotion. I thought the fat Tony, fit Tony and back to fat Tony thing was handled really well and was no worse then “The Principal And The Pauper”

How can you have continuity when the characters never age?

Watch it on Hulu, freeze frame that scene, and take a screen shot with your computer.
