New Episode: Them, Robot

Airing in just a few hours in North America is a new episode titled ‘Them, Robot’.

Mr. Burns replaces all of Springfield Power Plant’s employees with robots but decides to keep Homer as the sole human worker. With unemployment at an all-time high and mechanical arms operating the workplace, Springfield becomes a dismal and humorless place. But when Homer’s machine-programmed peers start to turn on the community and his former real-life employees come to the rescue, they all realize that robots can’t replace human friends.

I thought this was a solid episode. I loved the voice of the robots. The voice was Data from star trek witch was why I loved this episode so much, because I am a big star trek/ Star Wars fan. So far, like I have said before “every episode has been great this year except for one. The one episode I did not care for was the one with Ted nugent.

Liked it, but the whole killer robots thing in act three made me think this episode seems like a 22-minute long Treehouse of Horror segment, before they used it more as a house for unhorror parodies which no where near reach the awesomeness of The Shining (or, as Willie puts it, The Shinning).
