Ratings: Treehouse Of Horror XXIII

This year’s installment of the Treehouse of Horror series rated 6.52 million viewers, down on Season 23′s Treehouse of Horror XXII (8.01 million) and Season 22′s Treehouse of Horror XXI (8.20 million). It was the least-watched Halloween episode on record (last years was second least-watched) – hardly a surprise given this is also the furthest the Treehouse episode has aired out from Halloween.

Season premiere of The Cleveland Show aired at 7.30pm to 4.43 million viewers. Bob’s Burgers had 4.84 million at 8.30, while Family Guy at 9 had 6.73 and American Dad ended the night with 5.18 million viewers. Fox was fourth overall and third among adults 18 – 49 for the night.

That’s the last of the new episodes until November. You can rate last night’s episode below:

Edit: Thanks for the correction, guys. New episode airs October 21 – see next news story for details.

I love the new episodes as some of you who frequent this site know but I will even admit that the quality in the Halloween episodes has gone down in recent years. I really have to be honest this weeks Halloween episode was the best tree house of horror in years. The opening was great, loved the black hole thought it was animated like futurama with the Aliens/ inter dimensional beings and all, the ghost paranormal one was probably the worst of the bunch but still pretty good, finally the last segment was great I loved all the call backs to the way we were. On a side note I really enjoyed Bobs burgers episode, that show is really starting to grow on me you might even say that I love it and would rank it right up there with my top shows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While the episode is quite funny, I am somewhat surprised that the writers failed to realize that Machu Picchu is actually Incan, not Mayan. Considering the fact that it resides in an entirely different continent than that which was occupied by the Maya(South America, as opposed to Central America), it seems like a pretty big miss… Or, I just know too much about ancient american civilizations for my own good. Probably the latter.
