Simpsons Movie Sequel Not Coming Soon
Matt Groening & David Silverman, appearing at the 37th annual UCLA Entertainment Symposium revealed that a Sequel to the popular “Simpsons Movie” is not coming. At least not anytime soon.
“It took us four years and it killed us,” Groening said.
“Maybe another 10, 15 years,” Silverman added. The Simpsons movie grossed more than $500 million worldwide.
When pressed, Groening discussed how over the 4 years it took animators to make the film, it took away from their duties to the show. Right now all their efforts are concerned with the show. The cast are signed on to voice at least 2 sequel films.
