Father Knows Worst July 19, 2009 | 8:00pm Homer takes up “helicopter parenting”, taking it to a new level when he chooses a nearly impossible subject for Bart’s balsa wood model-building competition and gives Lisa some not-so-friendly advice on how to make friends with the popular girls.

The Simpsons “Best. 20 Years. Ever.,” celebration will culminate in January of next year with a documentary special entitled “The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special in 3D on Ice” airing on Thursday, January 14th, the 20th anniversary of the series’ debut.

This year’s Comic Con will once again see the cast of The Simpsons showcasing the upcoming year’s season to a world audience. This time around, it will be season 21.

No Loan Again, Naturally June 21, 2009 | 8:00pm After the Simpsons are forced to put their house up for sale, Flanders buys the property and becomes Homer and Marge’s new landlord. When Homer publicly accuses Flanders of neglecting the Simpsons’ unsafe living conditions, Flanders threatens to throw the family out on the streets.

The 21st season of The Simpsons will premiere on Sunday, September 27th, 2009 on Fox at 8.00pm.

This will be joined by the season premieres of Family Guy and American Dad! in their usual respective 9.00pm and 9.30pm time slots, and the series premiere of Family Guy spin-off The Cleveland Show at 8.30pm.

The Simpsons will feature in this year’s Teen Choice Awards in the “Choice TV: Animated Show award” category. Family Guy, American Dad! and South Park are also up for the award.
