12/31/98 - Search For The Simpsons 
Call Of The Simpsons (yes, more Hari news) has put up a new link search. SCS has been updated, with seven new articles added.

12/30/98 - Little Miss Springfield 
Little Miss Springfield has been re-designed today, and is looking very purty indeed. Matt Horton is opening a new Simpsons site. At the moment, its title is Suddenly Simpsons.

12/29/98 - Must Kill Hari....Wheeeee! 
Call Of The Simpsons....has re-opened after a one day closure. Is this the end of our plans for Last Exit To Springfield to move to the server? Of course not, I'm paying, Hari's not, but Hari's not getting ditched at all... in a month, The Simpsons Web will move back to it's place on kbbl.com. Could this story be any more confusing than it is now? Oh yeah, Ryan is planning to have over 1200 grabs for the web within the next few weeks. Simpsons Surplus has moved to kbbl.com and has a new design.

12/28/98 - Another Site Bites The Dust 
Yes, you guessed it, yet ANOTHER site has been shut down, this time we're saying farewell to The Simpsons Network, and Call Of The Simpsons. Thats three sites in two days guys, seing as SNPP called it quits too. Last Exit To Springfield has moved to the Simplenet server, but has not been opened yet.

12/27/98 - Point Of Odor, Lisa Smells 
Jukka has added lots of content to The Simpsons Folder due to people complaining about it. SNPP has stopped updating to focus on his new site, Simply Simpsons (which was also re-designed today).Sunday Night Fever (formally Eye On Springfield) has opened today. Hats Off To The Simpsons, a new site, will be opening soon.

12/26/98 - Lisa, Where's Christmas? 
Little Miss Springfield has been re-opened, and has a slightly altered main page, The Simpsons Web has a new 'coming soon page', and so does Last Exit To Springfield. Simply Simpsons opened today. Roma's articles will be deleted from SCS.

12/24/98 - End Of SNN 
The Simpsons News Network, one of our competitors was shut down today. It was going to return today, but the owner decided to shut it down instead, but hey, we're not complaining

12/23/98 - Sounds Great 
Last Exit To Springfield will feature original sounds when it returns. Hey Ma! has received a new, bright and colorful design. SNPP may be moving to Simplenet soon. The author wants suggestions for the domain, which will be taken here. There will be a new Simpsons site on the web soon, offering original pictures, made by the author in various graphics programs.

12/22/98 - LSE Shut Down 
As we reported the other day, Last Sundays Episode has been shut down. The grabs will be moved to The Simpson Treasury on Wednesday.

12/21/98 - Gilmore Aint Happy 
McBain: Lets Get Silly updated today.. without the long awaited new layout. Nate's computer stopped working, so he needs to get a new one.

12/20/98 - Let Us Party Like Its 1999 
The Simpsons Web will be officially released on the first of January, 1999. The site will be up at http://springfield.simplenet.com/simpsons, and NOT kbbl.com

12/19/98 - A New Home For MQTT 
Dave's contributions to the Simpsons Archive are beginning to appear. The Reverend Lovejoy File & Dearly Departed on the Simpsons. These lists join Music Featured on the Simpsons for a total of 3. Many more are on the way. A rough estimate is 10 more files, maybe more. The Simpsons Directory has resumed its updates.

12/18/98 - The End Of The Episode 
Last Sundays Episode will be shut down, and all of its content will be transferred to The Simpson Treasury. Collecting Simpsons has put up news about 3 new models of The Simpson Jet, now available.

12/17/98 - Happy Birthday To Us!

Wanna send a Simpsons christmas card to your internet pals? Now is the chance, with The New Simpsons Sourcebooks "Xmas Create A Card". The South Park Ranger Station has went back to its old layout.

12/15/98 - SEYMOUR!!! 
Bit Players has announced its 3rd Subsidiary, this time its dedicated to Superintendant Chalmers. The site has a simple layout and title, SEYMOUR!!! We'll probably see this site in the simpsons tree some day.

12/14/98 - Watch Out: Jukka's Angry!  
The South Park Ranger Station, once famous for stealing Omars layout, has now ripped off the old Springfield Zone layout. Little Miss Springfield is currently under construction, and should be back up soon. Simpsons Surplus has announced its free email service.

12/13/98 - LETS All Go To The Lobby  
The Simpsons Down Under has a new title, Last Exit To Springfield (LETS). Thanks goes to Eric Wirtanen for thinking of it, so in gratitude, I have stolen the headline you were gonna use.

12/12/98 - New Layout For SNPP 
Springfield Nuclear Power Plant has a new design. It isn't too fancy, but its news, so, what the heck. Once famous for daily updates, I Can't Believe Its A Simpsons Site hasn't updated for just under a month. does anyone know what has happened?

12/11/98 - The Simpsons Folder 
Jukka has yet again re-designed Springfield Zone, moved it to a new location, and changed its name. Its The Simpsons Folder, and its looking pretty snazzy.

12/10/98 - Move Over... 
The Simpson Treasury has moved to VirtualAve and has received a slight make over. Thats not all, The Simpsons News Network and The Krusty Archive have also moved, but this time, to Simplenet. The owner will also be re-creating Streets Of Springfield, the old Dave Sweatt web site. The Simpsons Network is temporarily offline, but will be back as soon as possible.

12/6/98 - Frinking Hell! 
The Definitive Frinks new layout is finally on the net! It has the same content we always loved, including appearances, and inventions etc.

12/2/98 - It's Frink-Tastic! 
The Definitive Frinks new layout will be up in a few days. Ryan Irvine tells me The Simpsons Web will be up on Xmas day or soon after.

11/30/98 - Its Funny Cos Its True 
The owner of Simpsons Surplus, Brad Dugan, has just completed a parody of The Simpsons Tree, titled, The Van Houten Tree. We have been nominated for an award at The Simpsons Awards. Please vote for us! 

11/27/98 - Network Has Done It Again 
The Simpsons Network has yet again put up a new design. Dimas new layout has been put up. The Simpsons Quote Of The Day Club is back up and running. 

11/26/98 - Dima's Down 
Dima's Simpsons Page is temporarily offline. Dima is working on a new layout for the site which should be up in a few days. The Simpsons Down Under may take longer to restore than originally planned due to my C: drive being wiped. 

11/25/98 - Uh....Yikes 
All files on my C drive were deleted due to a virus, thats why I havent updated for 4 days. Last Sundays Episode has been redesigned. Brad Dugan has a new web site titled "That Irish Dude" 

11/21/98 - Another Re-design 
Simpsons Surplus has been re-designed yet again today, but this time, it looks better than ever. Brad "Disco Stugan" says that this time, the layout will stick. 

11/20/98 - The Simpsons Directory 
Justin Hess has made a new layout for The Simpsons Directory to increase its popularity. Matt says "When I said I wasn't going to update The Simpsons Directory for awhile, I also asked if anyone would be willing to design graphics for my site. Well, Justin Hess took me up on that offer, and made a beautiful new layout for the site. I've just finished changing all of the interior pages to match. So, come by... tell me what you think."

11/17/98 - Sink Your Teeth Into This... 
The latest site to move is Bit Players: The Real Stars. You guessed it, its gone to Simplenet. The Simpsons Down Under has announced some juicy details about its new layout. Aaron from TDF has taken over UGLI and moved it to Internerd. Updates will resume in a few days. Brian Chen has updated the info on our Community Switchboard page, and would like everyone to read it. 

11/14/98 - We're Baaaack! 
The Simpsons Channel will be staying on Simplenet. Why? Well, the poll the other day showed us that about 25 more people wanted us to go back to Geocities... but we've noticed that Simplenet has been going faster in the past few days, so we're staying... for now 

11/11/98 - Call Of The Simpsons 
Haris Simpsons Site moved to Simplenet today, recieved a makeover, and a new title. 
Aaron from The Definitive Frink tells us how his new design is going... "Lots of work to go yet, but hopefully in two weeks it will be up. The Postcards will be back and Appearances will be completed"

The Simpsons Network recieved a new design. The Simpson Treasury is back in business. 

11/9/98 - So Long, Geocities 
The Simpsons Channel has moved to Simplenet which provides unlimited space....The Original Simpsons Site was shut down, but Justin Hess decided to move the content to Much Ado About Simpsons, his other site. 

11/6/98 - Sourcebook To Simplenet 
TNSS Moved from Geocities to Simplenet, and recieved a makeover. 

11/2/98 - The Krustiest Place On Earth

11/1/98 - I'll Have To Ask My Manager 
A few days ago, the Krusty Burger site was shut down due to the lack of hits. It did, however state it will be changing ownership. Today, it re-opened with a similar layout, and the new owner is getting ready to start the site.

10/30/98 - Moving On Up 
The owners of Evergreen Terrace, The New Simpsons Sourcebook and Hari's Simpsons Site will be moving to Simplenet. Hari's Simpsons Site will be uploading FULL episodes, and NSS will be re-desinged. 

10/29/98 - Interview With A Webmaster 
Interviews section is now complete.There is a new site titled Springfield Anonymous that is on its way. Chad Lehman says "IF anyone has sent mail to my NickR@icbiass.com address in the last MONTH, I just barely got it! 128 emails were "lost"... I called my ISP, and said what the..." 

10/27/98 - Top 50 gets Top Webmaster 
The Simpsons Top 50 site has a new co-owner, Eric Wirtanen of Evergreen Terrace. Although at the moment he is co-owner, I'm sure Al will lose total interest in the site in the near future, and have Eric the official owner. Our Special section was released today. 

10/23/98 - I Was Saying Boo-Urns 
Brian Banc announced that he was responsible for the hacking a few days ago. WOO HOO: The Simpsons World has a new layout and a new title, Springfield Zone. We wont see anymore updates from The Simpsons Directory until 1999, as Matt, the webmaster is concentrating on his school studies, and will be having a six week christmas vacation 

10/19/98 - HaCkEd?! 
Today, we were hacked. Shit knows who did it, but I do have a shot of the index page that came up instead. This is a warning to all Simpsons sites, especially if your name appears in the following shot. here 'tiz 

10/18/98 - Quimby's Dead 
Mayor Quimbys Tourist Trap has been shut down, and all of its lists and info will be transferred to snpp.com. The site will soon turn into a site celebrating the fun of Futurama. The Simpsons Web will be put up on Nov. 10

Today saw the end of The Simpsons Down Under, however, there will be a new Simpsons site in place of it towards the end of the year. Go there for more info.

The Simpsons Web has changed its main page again. Ryan tells us "The site will be up by the end of this month or early november.  I will have a ton of images and stuff, plus I'm a little busy with school.  That's the reason for the major delay." Krustys Funhouse has been re-designed. 

10/7/98 - New Layout A Big Hit 
Our new layout has got only positive feedback. Also, we are now getting 300 hits a day, which is 100 more than last week. Woo Hoo has changed its layout to one of its old layouts. The Simpsons Web may be up very shortly, as the main page changes again. 

10/5/98 - More Peeved Xoom Members 
The Milhouse File recently moved from Xoom, and so did The Simpsons Treasury. The Original Simpsons Site has changed its main page layout 

10/4/98 - Xoom Sucks

9/28/98 - SimpsonVilles New Layout 
SimpsonVille has finally changed its layout, after a number of complaints about the old one. It still could to with a bit of work, but anything is better than the old layout. McBain Forever has just put up some original framegrabs. 

9/21/98 - McBain Temporarily Down 
After over a month of no updates, McBain: Lets Get Silly has announced it is being re-designed with more content and much better layout. Cant wait. 

9/20/98 - ICBIASS WoW's Everyone! 
The Simpsons site of the next generation has just been opened on the net. A site that needs no introduction, I Can't Believe It's A Simpsons Site. Look at its large media gallery, and its other interactive features. 

9/16/98 - Omars Alive And Kicking 
Omar's Simpsons Site is updating once again. The veteran site revived it's tired presence with an update 19 original sounds, with more on the way. Movies, stills, and sounds will be the site's focus. 

9/13/98 - McBain Has Some Competition  
In August, a new McBain site came out, McBain Forever. Yesterday, the page updated with a new design, and more content. Also, there is a new site out dedicated to Patty And Selma, called UGLI. 

9/8/98 - Professor Frinks Create-a-Card 
The Definitive Frink has finally updated with a new section. 
After leaving a few days ago, The Simpsons Treasury is back. Also, check out the new Globex Corporation/Hank Scorpio site, and The New Simpsons Sourcebook has moved to Geocities. 

9/7/98 - Why The Connection Failed 
Why was The Springfield Connection site was cancelled? Ryan has told us the real reason was that school interrupted with the idea, and all of the webmasters couldnt afford the time. The Original Simpsons Site has opened, The Simpsons Treasury has shut down, and Simpsons Sites That Suck has re-opened. Again, somebody has stolen our button design. Look at this one!

8/31/98 - Simpsons Drawings Online 
The author of The Ullman Era has posted some of her drawings up on the net at The Site With No Name At The Moment. Simpsons Sites That Suck is being re-designed. 

8/29/98 - New Minor Character Sites 
Recently, two minor character sites were put up on the internet. Jasper...? and Try N Save • A Tribute To Don Brodka. 

8/25/98 - Make Up Your Mind, Thano! 
We have been waiting about a year now for Thanos Simpsons Site to open, and when he gets this close to finishing it, he decides to get rid of what we saw in the preview, and start all over again. Ryan Irvine will be uploading The Simpsons Web to the www.kbbl.com address. The Simpsons Down Under has moved. 

8/22/98 - More News To Poke A Stick At 
There is a new site called Hari's Simpsons Site. The New Simpsons Sourcebook and The Simpsons Treasury have been re-designed. Krustys FunHouse has opened. Simpsons Sites That SUCK!! has moved, and also features some new sections. The Simpsons Sanitorium has also taken the move to Xoom. 

8/19/98 - The Original Simpsons Site 
Justin Hess is in the process of making a totally original Simpsons site. The site is about 10% complete at the moment. We have a new button, made by Nate Gilmore of McBain and The Simpsons Tree. Thanks Nate! 

8/16/98 - The Simpsons Web Returns

8/12/98 - Futurama Info 
Futurama is set to start in late 1998/early 1999 in America. The main characters are Fry, Leela, and Bender, kinda like a robotic Homer Simpson, each of there characters look a bit like The Simpsons. The Simpsons Tree was finally updated and WooHoo has also been re designed. 

8/8/98 - And A Partridge In A Pear Tree... 
WooHoo is offline for a while (now back up 8/9) The Bart Archive has been shut down, The Simpsons Web has been shut down, New Bart site opens, The World Of Bart Simpson 

8/5/98 - Evergreen Terrace Opens 
Evergreen Terrace was recently hacked into, and then shut down for a while. Now it is back up with a new layout. Simpsons Sites That Suck was kicked off Geocities, now it has a new URL and layout. 


July 1998 
7/17/98 - Xoom Scrapped 
We will no longer be moving to Xoom, as I said we were earlier in the week. The Simpsons Web will be re-designed again. 

7/13/98 - New Simpsons Site 
Seven Simpsons webmasters are in the process of making a killer site, named The Simpsons Connection, which will be open in August. 

7/12/98 - Under New Management 
After months of no updates, The Simpsons Channel now has a new owner, Adam Wolf from The Simpsons Down Under and The Milhouse File. For now, I will still keep the layout that Brian Chen made, but I will also add small things, like the Updates bar on the main page. 


June 1998 
No News Isn't Good News 
For those people who were living under Comic Book Guy in June, The Simpsons Channel was put on hold for a few months. It wasn't gonna come back, but after some negotiations with Brian Chen, I (Adam) took over. I'm sure some really cool stuff happened this month, but hey, Brian was asleep.

The Simpsons Channel has been put on hold for a few months, due to lack of time and interest in the show. We will be back in the future, but don't expect an update too soon.

Little Pwag has been shut down due to a lack of interest and has been replaced by a brand new original site called The Ullman Era, which is devoted to the short Ullman eps.  

4/3/98 - Cast Will Return For Season 10 
The cast of the show have finally agreed on salaries and will continue to voice the show's many voices in season 10.

3/3/98 - No More Updates From... 
Don't expect to see anymore updates from Kwik-E-Mart: Aisle 3 because the author has decided to stop updating. The Simpsons Zone has also ceased updates til March because he is currently working on a new project, the Simpsons Spot.


February 1998 
2/28/98 - Springfield Elementary Disappears 
Springfield Elementary has disappeared. While the owners did not give a reason, we suspect it was because a lot of people disliked the site, calling it a rip-off of other sites.

2/21/98 - The Simpy Awards 
We have just been informed we have been nominated for the Simpy Awards. We appreciate the thought and everything, but a win doesn't really mean much since it's so easy to cheat (yes, some people do that). We're also a bit disappointed by the nominations. So go ahead and vote if you want to, but don't take it too seriously.

2/20/98 - Authors call it quits 
The authors of Brian's Tribute to The Simpsons and Omar's Simpson Site, two popular sites, have decided to stop updating due to similar reasons: less free time and less enthusiasm with the show. They have both decided to leave the site on their servers so visitors can still enjoy the content.

1/30/98 - More shutdowns 
The Simpsons Sanitorium has been shut down due to technical problems. Meanwhile, the author of Little Pwag would like feedback as to whether she should start a new site, or stick with the current one.

1/23/98 - Sourcebook about to leave 
The Simpsons Sourcebook is going to be shut down on April 1st, 1998 if a new maintainer is not found. If you would like to maintain the Sourcebook, email Ryan Johnson. His email address and an explanation is at the main page.

1/21/98 - Zone back up 
The Simpsons Zone is back under new management. The old webmaster failed to pay the web design company for the design behind the site so it was taken away and given to the current webmaster. The new site is at www.wuzup.com.

1/13/98 - Sourcebook, back and kickin' 
The Simpsons Sourcebook, crowned by many as the best Simpsons site on the web, is back. It seems like there were server problems, but that doesn't matter. The important thing is that it's back. Welcome back, Source.

1/6/98 - Zone temporarily shut down 
The Simpsons Zone has been temporarily shut down. Whether it's coming back or not is uncertain. While it wasn't very original or creative, it wasn't bad either. Go to what's left of the site for details.

The Homer Archive has added new, original season 9 framegrabs.

1/5/98 - Looking for a sound? 
The author of this site is taking requests for Simpsons sound files. If he does take your request, his next major update is February 1st so drop by to check out the new sounds.

1/3/98 - No Updates for BTTS 
The author of Brian's Tribute to The Simpsons tells us he can't get into his FTP server, therefore keeping him from updating his site. The problem should be fixed in a week or two.

1/1/98 - Sourcebook gone? 
It seems like The Simpsons Sourcebook is gone. It's not definite but it seems like it is. Many have used the Sourcebook as a source for pictures, articles and other Simpsons-related material. Crowned as the best Simpsons site on the web by many, its departure would be a major heartbreak to many.
