12/29/01 - New Design For Simpsons Tall Tales
Simpsons Tall Tales has been redesigned. It looks very nice, although similar to what a lot of sites have been doing as of late. I can't completely remember what the orignal design looked like too well but if it's the one I'm thinking of, this new one is better.
The Simpsons World also has a new design. The color scheme could do with some work, but it is getting better, keep at it. |

12/27/01 - Everyone Who Counts Loves Ned Flanders
Since the closure of The Ned Flanders Realm, the net has been without a decent dedication to the Simpsons left-handed religious neighbor. Ned's Place has filled the void nicely. It has a ton of content and a great main page.
Hope you enjoyed your Christmas holidays. I know I did. As a present for you, I've updated my photo in the About section so go and admire it. You know you want to. |

12/24/01 - Merry Christmas From The Simpsons Channel!
Everybody here at The Simpsons Channel, yes, even Brian Chen, would like to wish all our visitors and their families a safe and Happy Christmas. May all your wishes come true. This will be our last update until at least Wednesday but we would expect not so much Simpsons news will be taking place until the new year. Since we only recently redesigned we didn't have time for major Christmas renovations but we managed to get something in time. |

12/22/01 - The Duff Blimp Opens. Ooh Yeeaah!
Today a new site titled The Duff Blimp has officially opened its doors. You may have been to this site already and you're probably thinking "this isn't a new site". That's because the owner decided to put the site up for viewing even when it was in progress, but today it is 'complete'. The content as well as the design are both very nice.
Nick Laws has something he wants to get off his chest, and what better way to do it than to send us an editorial. Read the latest editorial titled Being Lazy. |

12/21/01 - Simpsons Online Lives Up To Its Namesake
We reported on The Simpsons Online about a month ago, and for the past few days it's been offline. Not to worry, it's back online now at a new host and has a brand new design. Lookin' good..
The Simpsons Showcase's downtime worries are over, for it has moved to the same quality service this site is hosted on. |

12/20/01 - Just D'oh It! Examine Your Scalp For Ringworm
A relatively new site which many of you wont remember is back after a couple of months break from the net. Just D'oh It was relaunched today with a nice, simple design and new content. The site's host went down not so long after its original launch so it didn't have a lot of time to make a name for itself. Take a look at it and see for yourself. |

12/18/01 - Some Enchanted Evening Goes Orange!
German fan site Some Enchanted Evening has been redesigned. It's looking very nice and original, and much better than before. Take a look.
We're pretty impressed with all the comments we've been receiving. Most of it is positive, so we're glad you like the changes. We've had a bit of downtime today, but hopefully that'll be the last for a while. The Switchboard is very popular already, and two new editorials have been added today. Check out Sites Too Off-Topic and I Still Love The Show. |

12/17/01 - Welcome To The All New Simpsons Channel!
Today marks our fourth year of operation, and we're celebrating with a brand new design. On this day in 1997, the site was opened by Brian Chen and became an instant hit. Since then we've gone through five design changes, this being our sixth all up. I like to think of it as a collaboration of our previous designs. It has the layout of our previous design, but the color scheme of the one before that. I threw in some yellow as it's been our color for the past 20 months, and reverted to the white background from our first two designs. I had this design finished way back in October but I decided it would be our little birthday surprise.
So why did I change it? Very few of you know about a time mid this year. I was so very close to closing down. In fact, only hours before the day I was to shut down I changed my mind and decided to give it another go. Though we've been on our feet for several months now, the design change is the icing on the cake. The Simpsons Channel is back in business. The last thing I wanted was a design that reminded me, and our visitors of the months we spent rotting away.
Ever since the Switchboard left our site i've had dozens of people ask me to bring it back. That has been done. All articles are back online, and I'm accepting new articles! You may only submit replies to new articles. Speak Up is also back. The first topic asks if The Simpsons Channel has reclaimed or gained your support with its changes in the last few months, and more specifically, today. Make sure you have your say. Enjoy! |

12/15/01 - Destination Springfield Or Beyond Blunderdome?
A brand new site entitled Destination: Springfield has hit the 'Net. Although the young webpage is currently lacking in content, it does make up for its shortcomings with some great contests. However, the design looks rather similar to that of Beyond Blunderdome. It wouldn't hurt to use a little color either. |

12/14/01 - Mmmm... Gummy Beer...

12/13/01 - eSimpsons To Rise From The Dead
A new 'coming soon' image has been put up at eSimpsons which means for the first time since May some progress is happening with the return of the site. The current word around the net is that the site will return some time in early January, 2002.
The Simpsons Showcase is finally back up on the net after a days scheduled downtime turned into almost a week. Nick's update is very vague, but I believe monstromart-hosted sites will be making the move to Getduffed.com shortly. |

12/9/01 - Showcase Indulges On Some Down Time
The Simpsons Showcase is currently down due to a server switch. It shouldn't be down for too long but it's return will be varied depending on your connection. Check the site regularly if you want to know when it's back up.
Springfield Indulgence has a new design which is much better than previous efforts. Check it out. |

12/7/01 - Eric Gives Links And Adam Wolf A Makeover
And Adam's looking damn spiffy! Anyway, all link categories have been updated as of today, with Beyond Blunderdome receiving a lot of attention. In addition, The Simpsons Showcase and The Simpsons Collector Sector are two of the newest featured sites here at The Simpsons Channel. See you in another six months with my next links update! Nah... I'll try to make it sooner next time. |

12/5/01 - Maggie And Eric Get A Makeover
Maggie And Eric: 12 Years Beyond has an excellent new design to save on bandwidth. It looks really good, as usual. The site is still hosted at Geocities though, so you might get an error message when you enter. This is not a 404. Try again later. |

12/3/01 - Show Me Your Tie
After much anticipation, The Simpsons Showcase is finally here, bigger and better than you could possibly imagine. The site is filled with the best original content including an extensive framegrab gallery, information, interactivity and much more. To top off the return of this great site, it features an excellent original design. The Showcase first opened in August last year but merged with Beyond Blunderdome to become The Simpsons Mainframe in mid-December. Both owners went their separate ways after the Mainframe received a cease and desist and now both sites are once again up and running.
A new character dedication titled Becky has opened. Who's Becky, you ask? She played Otto's fiance in the episode "It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Marge". The site is layed out completely vertical and has no-sub pages. The content's all there, and it's as good as any character dedication should be. |

12/2/01 - The Way We Was Hits The Web

11/28/01 - K-K-K? That's Not Good...
That's not good.. but the site is. Krusty Kids' Kamp opened today as a subsidiary of Beyond Blunderdome. The site has a very original premise, focusing on all the children in Springfield. Each character has a profile and pictures. While I feel the sections could be a little more thorough, the site is still very good. |

11/23/01 - Who Wants To Give Me A Sponge Bath? I'm Filthy!
Simpsons Tall Tales is a brand new site which opened today. A lot of the sections have little or no content, in fact, the only thing the site has going for itself is the design. And even that we've seen a LOT of lately. Could Dima please try a different approach in future? As for the site, it could turn out well if it gets completed soon |

11/20/01 - Since When Did Mr. Burns Get So Popular?
Surprisingly enough, another new site dedicated to Mr. Burns has graced the 'Net with its presence. Although the name could use some work, Serious Burns does have a fairly decent design along with a large amount of content. Is it good enough to dominate the rest of the competition?
Short 'N' Fun, which you may have heard of in earlier news, has made a return to the Simpsons community and boasts a brand new design to boot.
The School Bus, a popular tribute to Otto, has also been redesigned. Almost reminds me of my days with The Otto Show.. |

11/18/01 - Are You Saying Boo Or Boourns?
A brand new site has opened titled The Simpsons Online. It has a nice green design and a huge amount of content which appears to be all good. Could become a site to watch in the future.
Mr. Burns has a new dedication titled Evil.Burns. While the design is very tiny indeed, it looks to have some good content |

11/17/01 - Here Comes Two!
It's barely been a month since the site re-opened, but Beyond Blunderdome has been redesigned already. Today the site was given a slightly new design. I like this new one better than the last since it's more original and as a whole, much nicer to look at. The interiors have stayed pretty much the same. My only complaint about this is that the main page is centered while the interiors are left-aligned. Have a looksie |

11/16/01 - Wiggum Reporting A 318 - Waking A Police Officer
Chief Clancy Wiggum has a really cool new design. It's small and unique but does the job. Nothing over the top for a character site. The content here is also very good. Make sure you give it a visit.
German fan site SimpsonsClub.de has been redesigned. It could still do with a little more work and some of the images look a bit rough. Not the worst design I've seen though. See for yourself |

11/11/01 - Toon Community Returns To The Toon Community
ToonC is back online after being offline for quite some time. It's now more than a message board, with a members section which will soon include chat, games and trivia among other things.
Duffland has a brand new design, which is much better than previous efforts. Good work.
Weekly or daily, it's all too much for me. Which will you choose? Springfield Weekly has been redesigned, and a new site has popped up titled Springfield Daily. Weekly looks more promising.
A new site titled The Duff Blimp has opened. Though the title suggest the site is Duff-related, it's a general Simpsons site. Check it out |

11/10/01 - Unofficial Simpsons Site Returns. Celebration Aplenty
It's been a half-year wait.. and for what? A version of Simpsons Surplus that we've all seen before. But, unlike TheSimpsons.com, that's a good thing, because Smarch.com actually contains content that appeals to fans of The Simpsons. Although some sections are offline, the site now features a revamped and thumbnail-packed pictures section. Take a look at Simpsons Surplus if you haven't before, because the fan site has always been among the best of the 'net.
I must now begin to update this site's links pages before Adam destroys my Homer t-shirt |

11/9/01 - Official Simpsons Site Returns. Celebration Aplenty
It's been a three month wait.. and for what? An image mapped picture of Springfield that we've all seen before linked to the old interiors. Yes, TheSimpsons.com, Fox's official Simpsons site is back, and as useless as ever. The main page design is very awkward and unclear, and once you click a section you're somehow magically teleported to the old site where you can browse the site using it's old navigation. And who doesn't like a theme song playing in the background. More work went into the construction page. Top stuff, Fox |

11/8/01 - Springfield Springfield It's A Hellava Town!
The Simpsons Gallery has been re-opened after being left months without a host. The image-focused site contains a few new sections as well as a brand new design which has similar graphics to the previous one. Other new sections, such as movies, are coming to the site soon. Take a look!
Eric will be doing a links update soon, so make sure you get all your last minute submissions into us as soon as possible. Please use the Add URL form if you are planning on submitting your site |

11/7/01 - New Competition For The Legendary Aaron Florian
Along with the recently discovered Kamp Krusty comes some competition for Aaron Florian's The Definitive Frink in a brand new site, Oy, My Glayvin!. Although the site is nothing compared to the legendary TDF, it is expecting a new design and already has a solid amount of content. Be sure to check it out |

11/6/01 - A Krusty Replacement
Wow, another update from Bob. These surprises just keep on coming. Anyway, in the news today, a brand new Krusty site has now replaced the old Krusty Burger. The young Kamp Krusty should grow into a great webpage soon enough.
And unfortunately, one of the better Simpsons sites on the 'Net lately is closing its doors. The Simpsons Warehouse has been shut down due to the owner's lack of time and interest |

11/4/01 - Can I Arrest You People For Anything?
Since web news has been hard to come by as of late, I thought I'd make an appearance anyway and do a simple update. =) Just recently, the promising young site in Chief Clancy Wiggum moved to its very own domain at http://www.ccwiggum.co.uk/. That's all there is for now. I'll do my best to make my updates more frequent around here so long as Adam stops taking all of it. Adios |

11/1/01 - First Prize, First Prize, First Prize!
Through a give-away contest at The Simpsons Park, a French website, you can win a Simpsons Season One DVD set, "Bart Simpson's Guide To Life" (in French) and more prizes! The drawing is open only to France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein and Québec residents. The contest is open until November 30th, and click here to participate |

10/28/01 - Caption Inserted There
L.I.S.A., the official alt.tv.simpsons FAQ has been updated and thoroughly revamped. This is a great start if you are new to the internet and/or searching for information on The Simpsons. It was a great help to me in my early days, if you haven't read it yet take a look.
Insert Caption Here is back and updating with a new owner. Make sure you have a go at the latest quote.
The Legitimate Businessman's Social Club has made a slight url change |

10/27/01 - Not Lenny... NOT LENNY?!!!!
Last Exit To Springfield is now hosting two new subsidiaries. Previously located at flimpsons.com, A Home For Lenny and My Willie are now located at lardlad.com. This move seemed like the perfect chance for Josh to change the Willy to Willie throughout the whole site. Though they are still up at their previous locations, make sure you update your links and bookmarks.
Supernintendo Chalmers and Springfield Indulgence both have new designs. Both are better than their previous efforts |

10/23/01 - Would You Care For A Bite Of My Vengelerstrasse Bar?
Today, German Simpsons fansite Call Of The Simpsons is celebrating its third year online, possibly making it the longest running Simpsons site to come out of Germany. For the occasion, some parts of the design have been changed. Take a look |

10/22/01 - Beyond Blunderdome Returns
More light has been shed on the future of monstromart.com today, with Beyond Blunderdome reopening at frinkian.com. Owned and designed by Jeff (one of the two owners of the Mainframe), Beyond Blunderdome closed only to merge with The Simpsons Showcase which became The Simpsons Mainframe in December last year. BB now has most of the great content you loved and enjoyed from the Mainframe. It should certainly be able to fill the void the Mainframe left when it closed due to Fox's reign of terror.
Springfield Indulgence has been given a brand new design. It looks a lot better than it did before. Spooky |

10/21/01 - The Simpsons Top 150
The Simpsons Top 50 is back online after being down for a fairly long time due to server problems. There have been some slight graphic changes but nothing over the top.
The Simpsons Top 100 is three years old today, and instead of giving them a present they're giving you the chance to grab one. More info at the site.
A new site titled Duff Stadium has opened today. It's content seems pretty good and there's nothing bad about the layout.
The Springfield Files has a new design. It's very... lime. Check it out |

10/20/01 - Geeeet Outta My Office!
There's a great new Flash enhanced website titled Groening Style. It's a German dedication to both The Simpsons and Futurama, and at the moment features some good quality grabpics and wallpapers for both shows. You don't need to be German to enjoy this site.
Way back in the day there was a general site titled Simpsons Plaza. The site has made a return to the net, only now it's completely written in Spanish. It's content isn't much at the moment but it's sure to expand.
A nice new site has opened, titled The Simpsons Meltdown. While it's design isn't anything crash hot, the content is original and updated regularly |

10/17/01 - You Can Do It Otto! You Can Do It Otto!
The School Bus has received a brand new design. Can't say if it's an improvement or not because I don't think I've ever seen this site. One thing I do know is that it's a great design, and the Otto-related content is pretty good too. I'm sure we'll be seeing this one in The Simpsons Tree soon.
After a little downtime, The No Homers Club is back online. The script has changed from YaBB to VBulletin and the change seems pretty good. The color scheme is the same so you wont even notice the change. If you previously were a member you'll have to sign up again |

10/16/01 - I'm Bart Simpson, Who The Hell Are You?
Due to various comments about it's design not being suited for a Simpsons site, Bart Simpson Dedication now has an excellent new layout and color scheme. It's definitely much better than it was before. Good job.
The Simpsons Sea is back. That was fast. And I'm sure I said it would never return again just yesterday.
Another German fansite has hit the net, titled The Simpsons Roasting On An Open Fire. The design is nice, and from what I can tell the content is good too.
The No Homers Club has announced it will be back by Thursday with an all new board script. Sounds great |

10/15/01 - Drowning In The Simpson Sea
"Big" Jim Williams has decided to throw in the towel on the entire Simpsons community due to his differing points of view on an off topic discussion with other fans of the show. This means that Springfield, USA and The Simpson Sea are now shut down. For more information view the message that appears on both of these sites. It doesn't look like they will be back at all in the future |

10/14/01 - Take Me Take Me Take Me Take Me Now!
After it's short absence from the net (maybe half a day), Krusty Burger is back online for good. The site, which was abandoned by it's owner is now a part of the No Homers network, as a subsidiary of Evergreen Terrace. I assume the url will be krusty.nohomers.net, but right now the redirection isn't working for me. The page can be accessed at nohomers.net/krusty. Good to see this character site get a second chance in the spotlight. Lets hope it gets updated more than once by its new owners |

10/13/01 - No Homers... For Now
The No Homers Club message board is currently down due to a server overload. It will return in a few days. We'll let you know when exactly that happens in a future update.
A new site titled Bart Simpson Dedication is just that.. a dedication to Bart Simpson. It's design could do with a little work but it would only get better from here on. Take a look |

10/12/01 - I Don't Read The News Until I Get My Danish

10/11/01 - Will That Girl Ever Shut Up?
Maggie And Eric: 12 Years Beyond has been given a new main page design. It's fairly original as Jake's designs usually are. If you haven't seen this site or heard about the concept yet, you should check it out now. If you receive an error when you click the link to this page, it's because of a new Geocities policy.
And finally, I got round to implementing the changes I made to our main page into the rest of them. This was causing some confusion and people were getting lost in our site. To return to the main page on any of the interiors, click the rotation image which appears on top of the navbar. I also fixed any obvious broken links which I came across on the links pages |

10/10/01 - Never Have I Partied So Hearty!
It must be the week of big redesigns; today Maximum Homerdrive has been given a great new design. While the color scheme has stayed more or less the same, it has a completely new look and feel. It's a great improvement over it's previous design which has been the same for as long as I can remember. I give it the big thumbs up. Well done.
Clerk Apu has been given a nice new design. No complaints here, it's a nice small and simple design like it had before, as is the owners style. There are also a few new sections plus new content. Take a look.
The Springfield Files is now available at a new URL since the old one stopped working. Make sure you change your links |

10/9/01 - I Know What I'm Getting... Some Donuts!
Krusty Burger will be shut down on October 12th due to the owners "obvious" lack of time and interest. I'd like to point out to the owner that people don't really care if a character site isn't updated. Don't shut down. Leave the site up for people to enjoy. If he doesn't take this advice... you people only have a few days left to grab it's content.
Spirit Of Springfield is back on the net. Note that it has a different url, and some great improvements to the content itself. Check it out |

10/8/01 - Last Exit To Springfield's Surprise Redesign
As a surprise for everybody, Last Exit To Springfield was redesigned today after months and months of work behind the scenes. The owner decided to keep the basic color scheme of the previous design and clean it up a bit for a fresh new look. It's hard to speak about yourself in third person. All sections of LETS have been given the new design and some new content has been added too. I can't critique the new design for obvious reasons, so why don't you check it out and see for yourself.
Exciting Springfield has also been given a nice new professional design. Much better than previous efforts. Take a look |

10/5/01 - These Names Just Keep Getting Stranger By The Day
Well, another new site has graced the Simpsons community with its presence in The Duff Blimp. Some improvements need to be made on the site, especially in terms of navigation, but its future looks promising.
Little Miss Springfield has finally made its return to the Internet. The reason for the downtime was a change in the owner's user account at Simplenet.com. It's good to see it back online |

10/1/01 - The Usual Week Of Moves And Downtime

9/24/01 - A Short 'N' Fun Update
Yet another new Simpsons site has graced the Internet with its presence today in Duff Land. The brand new page looks very promising and contains all original content, which is a rare thing in webpages nowadays.
Also in the news, the young Short 'N' Fun has received a new design. It looks like a great improvement to me. Be sure to check it out.
And finally, New Springfield subsidiary, Noiseland Arcade, has been given a new layout and design. For all the info you need on Simpsons games, look to this site for detailed reviews as well as links to other gaming sites |

9/23/01 - I'm Only Ten And I Already Got Two Mortal Enemies
Another German fansite has popped up on the net today, and it looks like another winner to add to the international Simpsons sites list. Day Of The Jackanapes is a general Simpsons site, has nothing to do with Sideshow Bob or the episode of the same name which features him. The design is very cool and it's content original. Hey.. what exactly does Jackanapes mean anyway? Why it's an ape. So now you know. Make sure you give this site a visit if you know how to read German |

9/21/01 - Lets Go Shopping!
After 20 days without updates (hey.. sounds like us!) The Springfield Shopper is back in action. The lack of updates had nothing to do with the owner being slack. FTP problems prevented him to upload new content. All is well now. Great to see it back |

9/16/01 - ToonC Temporarily Closed
Due to server problems, ToonC has been temporarily closed down. The site will return in a couple of weeks and it promises to be bigger and better than ever. Sounds feisty.
The Springfield Message Board has a new title. This definitely improves the design since we don't have bright yellow in our faces anymore |

9/14/01 - Lousy Smarch Weather
Strap yourself in for a BIG November in the Simpsons community. The Simpsons Mainframe has announced it will be returning in November with it's new design. No design was finally chosen in the poll they held, so it's still going to be a surprise when it happens.
Next up is news of The Simpsons Web's return date. At the moment it's set to be released on November 4, just in time for the Season 13 premiere! There might be a few other surprises in November too, you'll just have to wait |

9/13/01 - Maggied Grows Up
The Springfield Message Board at Maggied.com has made a huge change to it's graphical presentation. The site has turned from various shades of blue into grey and white. Since it's such a lot to swallow in just one change, it'll take some time to get used to. Personally at the moment, I liked the old maggied.com, but I'm sure if we give this one time to evolve I might actually grow to like it. If you were a member of the old maggied.com, you will need to sign up again. |

9/12/01 - Address To The Nation
We at The Simpsons Channel would like to take the time out from our normal updates to send our best wishes to the families and friends of the victims who tragically lost their lives in Tuesday morning's terrorist attack on the United States of America. Our hearts and condolences go out to all those who were affected by this great tragedy |

9/11/01 - More Episodes Than You Can Shake A Stick At
The demand for downloadable full-length Simpsons episodes is at an all time high. This site has the biggest collection I've ever seen. While it isn't complete, it's close to it.. it even includes the Tracey Ullman shorts. I kid you not. My advice would be to get them while you can |

9/10/01 - Pretend This Is Baseball And Hit Us A Homer
Just Homer, one of the few decent dedications to Homer Simpson on the net, has been redesigned today. Judging by the comments I've read many people prefer the old design to this one. Though I agree that the previous design was better, there is nothing wrong with this one. It's original and simple, and it works. Nice work. The site has proven itself a strong competitor to the other Homer site on the net. If you haven't visited this one yet, now is a good time to do so |

9/9/01 - Hello Chief. Let's Talk, Why Not?
Those who use the simpsonsTALK service using Mirc or a similar IRC program, you will need to change your login information from irc.daran.org to irc.blitzed.org. Webmasters who have the login script on their site will not need to alter it, and this does not affect applet users |

9/8/01 - If You Were Running For Mayor.. He'd Vote For You!
You may have noticed a few small changes occuring at this site recently, but we've made the biggest ones today. Most noticably, the 'links' navbar has been shifted over with the other content on the left, and boxes which were at the footer of the page now sit on the right side of the page. 'News Around The Net' is now 'Hot News', and we will highlight one specific piece of news when we hear about it. You'll also spot a few graphic changes here and there. It's all easier to maintain in the longrun. You'll also notice that we're updating again. Amazing.
As a follow up from yesterdays announcement about The Simpsons Mainframe, they have started phase one of their plans. Two different layouts have been made by the two owners, and they are asking for you to vote for the best one. Click the screenshot above to view the two different layouts and to cast your vote.
The Simpsons Sourcebook is now accessible at it's old 1999 url www.frinkiac.com. You are free to access the site at either url |

9/7/01 - Flabbo Is Coming?
The Simpsons Mainframe today sports a charming picture of the Taco Bell dog doing... something, accompanied by the message 'Flabbo Is Coming'. Looks like there's some big changes coming to this site very soon. Last month this site was hit by a Cease And Desist order from Fox and ever since then the site has been looking for new ways to regain peoples interest in the multimedia-less site. Stay tuned, we'll inform you of new information when we get it.
After making a slight modification to it's layout earlier this week, The Simpsons Sound Station has now been completely redesigned as promised. Take a look |

9/6/01 - Where The Hell Is My Grilled Cheese!?
Eye On Springfield is back after a little downtime in August. With it's return comes the promise of a bunch of changes in the coming week. Stay tuned.
Both The Simpsons Sound Station and A Home For Lenny have made slight changes to their designs. The sound station will be completely redesigned by the end of the week |

9/5/01 - I Do What I Feel Like...
Finally, there's a decent site dedicated to Bart Simpson on the net. There's just one condition.. you'll have to know how to read German if you want to take a look at it. Bart's Inner Child has opened today. It's got a whole bunch of content including images, movies, information, etc. The design is simple, but looks nice. German Simpsons fans, check this one out |

9/4/01 - Oh, I Love Legitimate Theater
A new site titled Aztec Theater has opened. The design is pretty original and it has a fair amount of content for a site that has just opened. Give it time to evolve and it should get better.
After a long wait, Toon Dimension is finally back online with a great new design |

9/3/01 - Willy Hears Ya... Willy Don't Care
My Willy is big. Very big. Okay, not that big, but we certainly haven't seen a bigger site dedicated to Groundskeeper Willy than this one. From the creator of "A Home For Lenny", My Willy is another excellent character site. Take a look.
All Simpsons Media is looking very sharp today. Nice work with the new design. Almost makes me want to take French classes. But I wont.
I've been informed by Mr. Wirtanen that I should post the following tidbit from the owner of Cletus' Farm. Might I remind Eric that he too works at The Simpsons Channel. "After too long a break (I had to work on my exams), I want to restart the Farm. The main problem is that I don't have any server to host the episodes right now. The other problem is that listbot.com has stopped their services; the mailing list doesn't exist anymore... That's why I post my message here, to ask for help. I need servers, not cable servers, but faster servers. If you're able to host some episodes on your own server, or on your company/school servers (please first be sure that you won't get in trouble), please contact me: cletus@free.fr. With the release of the DVD, and with your help, I'll be able to post great quality episodes... Thanks! By the way, Adam... I think you're hot!". And who doesn't? |

9/2/01 - Such A Thing Has Never Been Done!
We've seen many Apu sites come and go over the years but there hasn't been any as of late. Clerk Apu has come to fill the void. The site has a very small design but it is clean and does the job. It has a large amount of content and has been growing more and more every day. We'll probably be seeing this one in The Simpsons Tree soon. Check it out, even if you're not an Apu fan.
A map of the Springfield area has been made by a dedicated fan. It looks awesome, even if it's not yet complete. Take a look at the Guide To Springfield |

9/1/01 - Sourcebook Gets Redesigned
The Simpsons Sourcebook has been given a surprise new design. This latest design is a mix of both the previous design, and the way it was presented at Fandom. It keeps the same blue color scheme that we love, and made news and interactivity features accessible on the main page. Although I didn't really like the site when it was at Fandom, this change is excellent. The site really needed to do something about it's headline updates on the main page and this has solved the problem. Looks great, guys... now just antialias those thumbnails on the main page and you've got yourself a winner. Check it out |

8/31/01 - Not On My Shift!
International Simpsons sites have been in the web news a fair bit this week. Today The Simpsons Attack, a German fan site, was redesigned. The new blue design is clean and smooth, and easy on the eyes. It looks excellent. German fans, check it out |

8/30/01 - Sorry... No Homers! Hur-hyuck!
The No Homers Club message board has moved to the domain simpsonsforum.com. This move was to make sure people saw the site as separate to Evergreen Terrace. Maybe it shouldn't be called the No Homers Club then, eh? If you have linked this site already in the few days it has been opened, make sure you update your links |

8/29/01 - Tuba-ma-ba? Oboe-mo-boe? Sax-a-mo-phone!
German fan site Sax On The Beach has reopened with a new design and a huge amount of content, since it has merged with "The German Springfield Connection". The design looks fantastic, and is a lot better than the previous one. German fans should be delighted to see this site back online, take a look.
French site Duff 'n Pretzels can now be accessed at a newer, easy to remember url. You may update your bookmarks and links to http://duffnpretzels.fr.fm/ |

8/28/01 - Gabbo Is Coming! Wait A Minute.....
The young and promising Springfield Trivia has slightly redesigned today. Although the site stuck with the same color scheme, several different areas have been improved and cleaned up. Be sure to check it out.
In other news today, The Springfield Files has also tweaked its design by adding a new navigation bar among other things |

8/27/01 - You're Gonna Like Me! You're Gonna Love Me!
GABBO WAS COMING and now he's here... but it's probably not what you expected at all. The 'Gabbo' project has now turned out to be a new Simpsons message board known as the No Homers Club, owned by several Simpsons webmasters including Jukka Keskiaho and Eric Wirtanen. It's aim is to create a more Simpsons-focused message board since many aren't satisfied with that other board. Don't know what to make of it yet, one message board seems to be enough. Check it out and make your own decision. Like it, or lump it.
It's a very community based day today, with the opening of simpsonsTalk, serving as a replacement for Springfield Community Chat which seems to have died in recent months. The site is fully integrated with The Springfield Message Board, which should give No Homers some new features to top. I'm one of the operators in ths chat so I'll be in there a fair bit. Come in and have a chat |

8/26/01 - Will That Carson Daly Character Still Be Host?
Yet another new site has made its way into the Simpsons community in Total Simpsons Live. The clever and promising webpage serves as a parody to MTV's hit show, "Total Request Live." Every week there is a new Top 10 to vote for (This week's question: Who is your favorite Simpsons character?). Despite the fact that TSL is somewhat lacking in content, the site is definitely worth checking out |

8/24/01 - Another Day For You And Me In Springfield Paradise
French Simpsons fansite Springfield Paradise has a new design. Keeping with the same theme as it's previous design, the site has removed it's frame and gone for a nicer, cleaner look. It looks nice.. would be nicer if I knew a little French :).
A new site titled Springfield Indulgence has hit the net. The site is still building it's content but it looks promising so far. Make sure you take a look |

8/23/01 - The Simpsons Going Under
A brand new site entitled The Simpsons Down Under has just recently opened its doors. The young webpage looks to have a promising future with a good share of orginal contests and content that is growing daily.
In other news today, The Mole Hole has been given a brand new design. Be sure to check it out |

8/21/01 - The Return Of The Shopper
Hey, you guys. Bob Honkisz of Evergreen Terrace fame here. I am the newest member of the Channel's staff and will be helping with news updates and such from here on out.
First off, The Springfield Shopper has finally returned to the web after a brief absence while changing servers.
The Simpsons Sea has also moved locations and has been redesigned |

8/20/01 - The Death Of Behind The Laughter
Behind The Laughter closed it's doors today after about 15 months online. Lack of interest in the site has been the cause this time. The owner will move on with other projects, possibly a character site, so you haven't seen the last of Polokoff yet.
The Simpsons Resource has a nice new blue design. Check it out |

8/7/01 - The Simpsons Mainframe C&D'd
Just when you thought it was safe, Dennis Wilson comes out of the closet (both ways) to grasp another site with his claws, and shred it to pieces until it suits his liking. Unfortunately this time it just happens to be the ONLY site offering large quantities of multimedia at this point in time. Dennis asked for audio clips, video clips, sequentially arranged framegrabs, wallpaper, screensavers, games, desktop themes, calendars, episode guides and episode transcripts to be removed. The future of The Simpsons Mainframe is still being considered, although Nick was last heard saying "FUCK! FUCK! FUCK!". We'll bring you the latest news when we get it |

8/5/01 - Homer Hits The Web
It didn't take long for a new site to replace The Simpson Treasury. Homer: A Tribute is the latest website to grace the Simpsons community, and it's something we've longed for since the closure of The Homer Archive. Knowing the owners past experiences, the site is sure to become the best Homer resource on the net. Although we're still waiting for all the content to be uploaded, the page seems to be looking very promising. Take a looksie if you haven't already |

8/1/01 - Tidbits From The Weeks Gone By
It seems that Adam is dedicating his daily online time solely to his "Kings of Trivia" game, which is all well and good. But, that means that he has no time for this site, which is bad. So, here I am to save the day once again.
In a surprising move, The Simpson Treasury has been shut down. However, its owner is creating a Homer Simpson tribute to take its place at the domain name. We'll keep you posted on any developments.
WavKing.com is back, and so are its 1700 Simpsons sound clips. Have a listen, folks.
Finally, a character site by the name of Flaming Moe's has been redesigned once again and TheSimpsons.com, FOX's official site, is currently under construction |

7/20/01 - Tidbits From The Week Gone By
• The Simpsons Mainframe is back online after a whole bunch of problems knocked it down.
• Ryan Irvine has revealled that he will be reopening his site The Simpsons Web. A number of reasons have been the cause for this, and judging by the info we already have, it's going to be big.
• Maximum Homerdrive has decided to wave goodbye to Smoovenet after their recent request for payments. The site will return soon at Uzipp.
• Simpsons collectors should take a look at a new webpage titled Simpsons Collector Sector. It features all the latest news and reviews of Simpsons merchandise |

7/15/01 - The Sourcebook Blasts Back From The Past
The Simpsons Sourcebook is back in it's original form after the recent fall of Fandom.com, which acquired the site and it's owners on the 3rd of December in 1999. Many didn't approve of this huge change and now the site is back the way it was made to be. Even the design is the same as it was in 1999. It's great to see the site back, at it's new home of frinky.com.
The Springfield Shopper has changed it's colour scheme from white to black. Looks nice. Check it out |

7/12/01 - This Calls For A Celebration
We at The Simpsons Channel like to celebrate in style, and this isn't the first time we've stepped back in time. What's the occasion? On this day in 1998, I took ownership of this site. Opened by Brian Chen in mid December 97, he lost interest after 6 months. And here I am, 3 years later and still going strong. To celebrate we've put up our old design. Enjoy!
• To see the rest of this update and view our 'classic' design, click the screenshot on the right |

7/1/01 - Springfield Message Board Back
The Springfield Message Board which was down for a whole week is now back online. There are no visible changes to the service or layout.
We've added a box to the right panel of this site. Titled 'new stuff', we will highlight the new... stuff that we upload to The Simpsons Channel. You'll notice today that Webmaster Zone has a new profile/interview with none other than Jukka Keskiaho. It's some good reading, check it out |

6/25/01 - Enter The Webmaster Zone
Today we have launched a new section based on our Interview With A Webmaster feature that was opened in late 1998. The new section is titled Webmaster Zone. You'll get the usual interviews, as well as photos, profiles, biographies, and pictures of their various page layouts over the years.
We've already got 5 webmasters on this list. They are Aaron Florian, Nate Gilmore, Lee Kaldany, Eric Wirtanen, and .. Adam Wolf. Profiles and biographies for these people are all brand new, however the only new interviews are for Nate Gilmore and yes, I interviewed Myself. Read Nate's interview to find out the secrets behind the late SpringfieldU among other wacky responses. Newly added profiles/interviews will be announced here |

6/25/01 - You Want Fries With That?

6/23/01 - Give Me 700 Krusty Burgers!
Everybody's favourite dedication to Krusty The Clown has been redesigned. Krusty Burger was given a nice new design today. The new design, featuring light colours and a simple page layout is much better than the previous design.
Exciting Springfield has been redesigned. Personally I think this site deserves more attention. It has some nice content and it's new design makes it better than ever.
A new webpage titled Planet Wiggum has just opened. The site is incomplete but looks promising |

6/19/01 - Your Headline Here!
The Simpson Treasury has re-launched after being under construction for a few days. Sporting a nice new look, its design is comparable to that of A Burns For All Seasons (people will come, Dave, people will come) and its two restored contests give Simpsons fans a reason to visit KidMoe.com more than once a week. Now go and click Crazy Homer, 'cause I'm telling you to.
Simpsons Surplus is down at the moment due to a problem with their server, but it will hopefully return soon |

6/16/01 - I Didn't Bring You Up Here To Show You My New Tar Paper
The Simpson Treasury, which was left to collect dust during the past several months, is currently offline. But, a new TST is coming soon.
Highway to Springfield was recently redesigned, as the creator's apparently still searching for the right look for the young general page.
All links have been updated for the first time in a few months. The new pages would've been up a couple days ago, but Smoovenet's FTP greatly dislikes me. The feeling's mutual |

6/7/01 - Adam's Buried Under A Pile Of Final Exams
And I will dig him out as soon as I get the chance, but this web news is of greater importance at the moment!
The Simpsons World Order re-launched once again several days ago, and the multimedia oriented site is now carrying more content than it ever has before.
Highway to Springfield recently moved to a domain name and a fantastic new character site devoted to Snake popped up at the new domain as well.
Springfield Harbor was redesigned, and it's certainly lookin' good in my mind |

6/1/01 - We Want Chilly Willy! We Want Chilly Willy!
The Simpsons Supplement has been redesigned, probably due to the comments of a few webmasters. The new look isn't very similar to the previous design, as was the owner's intention. I think it looks nice. Good work.
I'll be compiling a links update sometime during the week of June 4th, so get those last minute URL's in to us |

5/30/01 - My Way Or The Highway
A brand new Simpsons site has opened today. Highway To Springfield is a nicely designed site with a fair amount of sections. Since it just opened, these sections aren't entirely full of content yet, but looks like the kind of site that will move on to bigger and better things.
As reported a few weeks back, The Simpsons Sourcebook at Fandom would soon be no more. The day has arrived, and the site can no longer be accessed. The latest revelations of the new site will be discussed at this message board |

5/25/01 - We Want Chilly Willy!

5/24/01 - The Pictures... They're... Coming... ALIVE!
Simpson Picture Central's return was mentioned briefly in a previous update and now it's online. The first thing you'll notice upon entering the site is it's amazing design. It looks great. For a site offering only pictures, I would have liked to see a bit more content on opening day but all that aside, it looks like this site is going to have a bright future ahead of it. Welcome back.
The Springfield Shopper has a brand new design. Though completely different to it's previous look, it is much better. Make sure you check it out.
24/7 Simpsons has also been redesigned. The new design is a lot different to the previous one. It is very compact, which is a good thing in some ways, but can look a little too small on a large resolution |

5/23/01 - Did You Know This Tree Dates Back To Frontier Times?
