Ratings: I Don't Wanna Know Why The Caged Bird Sings
8.83 million viewers watched Sunday's less-than-hyped episode I Don't Wanna Know Why The Caged Bird Sings, a great figure when compared to the last two weeks. The figure makes it the highest rating non-premiere episode this season. Great job. The Simpsons was in fourth place at 8pm, trailing 60 Minutes, Home Edition, and the NFL. Fox was fourth overall for the night and third among adults 18 - 49. A repeat of Family Guy had 7.09 million viewers at 9pm. The next new episode, Treehouse Of Horror XVIII airs Sunday November 4.

Ratings: Midnight Towboy
Last night's episode Midnight Towboy had a total of 7.74 million viewers, the lowest figure of the season so far. The Simpsons rarely dips below 8 million, let alone at this time of year when the show usually grabs the highest figures of the season. A total of five episodes of Season 18 rated lower than 7.74 million, all in the March - May period of this year. NFL, 60 Minutes, and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition were all ahead of The Simpsons at 8pm, with Fox finishing fourth overall and third among adults for the entire night. Family Guy fared a little better with a respectable 8.39 million at 9pm. This Sunday sees the last of the new episodes until early November, with "I Don't Wanna Know Why the Caged Bird Sings".

EA Upsets Companies With Simpsons Game
EA's forthcoming The Simpsons game parodies 30 years of videogaming and gaming IPs, but there are games companies that have refused to see the funny side of things. "I was always under the impression that when you do parody, it's a sign of respect... If we make fun of Grand Theft Auto, we're not going to hurt the sales of Grand Theft Auto... But yeah, we've definitely had some reactions - we've had to pull stuff from the game", The Simpsons Game lead designer Greg Rizzer revealed to Computer & Video Games in an interview earlier this week. "But that's cool to me", Rizzer continued. "It's cool to still know, I feel, that the industry's been waiting for a game like this to come along. It's been too long since we really had one, and of course [there's] The Simpsons being the perfect vehicle to poke fun at the games industry."
New Episode: Midnight Towboy
Airs Tonight!Feeling that Maggie is getting too clingy, Marge hires a counselor to teach her to be very independent at an early age. But the method works a little too well, leaving Maggie with no need for Marge at all. Meanwhile, Homer goes in search of milk for Maggie and ends up having his car towed by a tow truck driver named Louie (Matt Dillon) who introduces Homer to the joy of towing cars for a living. Louie invites Homer to be the tow truck driver for Springfield on one condition: that Homer stay off of Louie's turf. When Homer gets a little too "tow happy," the residents of Springfield set Homer up to look like he's towing in Louie's territory, and Homer must suffer the wrath. With Homer missing, newly independent Maggie springs to action.
Ratings: Homer Of Seville
A total of 8.43 million viewers tuned in to The Simpsons last night for the episode Homer Of Seville. A drop-off from the premiere was expected, and last night's figure is very comparable to the 8.94 million that second-episode Jazzy And The Pussycats got at the same time last year. Not a bad effort considering last week's figures compared with the previous year. Family Guy had 7.95 million viewers last night, proving the Star Wars fans boosted last week's episode. At 8pm, The Simpsons was in fourth place behind Home Edition, 60 Minutes, and the NFL. Fox was fourth overall for the night and tied third with CBS among adults 18 - 49. New episode Midnight Towboy airs on Sunday.
