Switch On To Simpsons Channel v12
Welcome to Simpsons Channel, version 12. This look has been adapted from the previous one, which was in my view from the beginning, an experimental work in progress. Simpsons Channel has always evolved with the latest web trends, so following the popularity of YouTube and streaming videos on news websites, that's where we've headed. Who knew that 11 years after its inception, the title chosen for this website would be more relevant than ever in 2008? You can expect to see the usual video highlights and previews, special promotions, and maybe further down the line, original productions. Not just ours, but yours, such as video or product reviews which you may wish to donate. You will see our first original production up there today, where after ten years you get to hear me speak. So in addition to this shiny new panel which we're naming the 'remote control', what else is new? Away with the purple color scheme, for starters. We were prominantly blue for a number of years, and I've been missing it, so back it comes. You'll also notice some fancy zooming techniques when you click Promo Images for a larger view (try it), but this may not work in older browsers. The rest of the site works and operates as usual. Enjoy!

Kill Gil Wins Writers Guild Award
On the verge of an end to its strike, the Writers Guild of America quietly handed out the awards for its annual ceremony which recognizes excellence in writing. Since the WGA introduced an animation category, The Simpsons has taken out the award every year, and this year was no exception. The nominees this year were 'The Haw-Hawed Couple,' 'Homer of Seville,' 'Kill Gil Volumes 1&2,' 'Stop or My Dog Will Shoot!,' and King Of The Hill episodes 'The Passion of the Dauterive' and 'Lucky's Wedding Suit.' The winner was Kill Gil Volumes 1 & 2, written by Jeff Westbrook. Congratulations. The Simpsons Game was also nominated in the first ever video game nominations, but was beat out by 'Dead Head Fred'.
Promo Image: Love, Springfieldian Style
New promotional image for the Valentines Day episode that airs February 17 (late much?) To celebrate Valentine's Day, Homer takes Marge to the Tunnel of Love at a carnival. But when Bart pulls a prank, they become hopelessly stranded. Homer tries to cheer Marge up by recounting some of the greatest love stories of all time, beginning with Bonnie and Clyde (as Marge and Homer). Next, Marge tells the story of two dogs, Sadie (Marge) and Scamp (Homer), in her take on "Lady and the Tramp." Lastly, Bart spins the final romantic tale in his recounting of the rock-and-roll romance of the The Sex Pistols when Nancy Spungeon (Lisa) falls for the rebellious Sid Vicious (Nelson).
