Simpsons Returns For Season 19 In Australia
Australia, this one's for you. The Simpsons has been notably absent from Channel Ten in 2008, with the 6:00pm daily slot on hold for the first time in quite a while. With the writers strike, Ten held off airing new episodes in February when the season usually begins. The good news is, new episodes resume at 7.30pm Tuesdays starting May 6. The show will resume from Season 19, with 'He Loves To Fly And He D'oh's' airing in the first slot. While this is good news for fans, the bad news is the Friday repeat slot will be dropped the same week for Big Brother Friday Night Live.

Season Eleven Rumoured For August
We're just as desperate for news on the next Simpsons DVD box set as you are, so naturally, any news on the matter is worth noting. And today, TVShowsOnDVD have done just that, reporting of word from a reliable source that The Complete Season Eleven will hit the stores in August, a full year after Season Ten was released. The reason for the delay and the skipping of a release in December 2007 is in part due to The Simpsons Movie release as well as the writers strike which halted the production of episode commentaries. August is not an official release date, but it's as close as we have to any word so far. We're expecting an official announcement of release date and the highly anticipated new box art will be available within a month. More when we hear of it!

Simpsons Pulled Off Air For Swimsuit Models
BOOBIES! Offended? You shouldnt be. After all, the above imagery is more wholesome and less offensive than any episode of The Simpsons. At least, that's the verdict in Venezuela, where Baywatch Hawaii will replace The Simpsons, which is being taken off the air because it may be inappropriate for children. "It had to be taken off," said Elba Guillen, spokesperson for the network which airs the series at 11am weekdays. "They consider it to be a series that isn't appropriate for that time because it isn't appropriate for children." The regulatory agency didn't specify which elements of the program were deemed offensive, but said showing the animated cartoon series at that hour could violate national regulations prohibiting "messages that go against the whole education of boys, girls and adolescents."
