Another new movie poster for The Simpsons Movie has been released today. This one was previously available in French, but here's the English version. Looks great!

The Official Simpsons Movie website has taken on many forms but today the page has well and truly launched in all its glory.

The all new flash enhanced website includes information about the film, promotional images, movie trailers, interactive flash games, downloadable wallpaper and screensavers, exclusive mobile content, as well as the ability to create your own Simpsons avatar and a virtual tour of Springfield. Some of the sections remain incomplete but we're sure the site will grow as the release draws closer. Take a look today.

Two college students believed to be over-exuberant fans of The Simpsons stole a life-sized figurine of Homer Simpson from a cinema, but police tracked them down and forced them to return it Thursday. "This case has been solved," Mazlan Mansor, police chief of Malaysia's central Petaling Jaya district, told The Associated Press. The fiberglass replica of Homer holding a TV remote control was part of a promotional display at a local cinema.


"Homer will be reunited with his family soon," Moo Hon Mei, Fox's marketing director in Malaysia, told the AP. She said the studio suspected the thieves were "passionate fans who want to own a piece of 'The Simpsons' before the movie opens."

Cinema employees discovered the 4-feet-tall statue had vanished Monday morning. Closed-circuit security cameras showed that two men carried the statue out at about 3 a.m. and took it to the mall's parking lot, where they put Homer in the trunk of their car and sped away. Police tracked down the students through their car license plate and summoned them to the police station, where they returned the figurine unscathed Thursday, Mazlan said.

"They were students, only 21 or 22 years old," Mazlan said. "We've released them for now, and a decision will be made later on whether to charge them for theft."

This design is an evolution of our previous look, once again bringing a larger focus on news which now appears up-front in a nice, expanded, easy to read blog-esque format without the boringness of being a blog. It's been quite a journey that the site has taken since the days of being a website that linked to and reported the news about the goings on of other Simpsons websites, and this is the next chapter which will see us into our tenth birthday later this year.

I'm looking into possible expansion features such as viewing news by category and if I implement them you'll be seeing that over the next few weeks. But for the meantime, enjoy the new look -- hopefully you like it.

Other titles have been revealed including The Homer Of Seville, I Don't Wanna Know Why The Caged Bird Sings and N Is For Nerder. A trilogy episode based on Valentines Day is in the works as well as the return of Cecil Terwilliger.

The track listing and Art work for Hans Zimmer's Simpsons Movie score CD titled "The Simpsons Movie: The Music" have been revealed on the Composers official website.
