Sunday’s season finale ‘Judge Me Tender’ had a total of 5.74 million viewers. Its competition was strong, up against the series finale of Lost — a recap special at 8.00pm had 10.09 million viewers by comparison. The Cleveland Show followed with 4.9 million viewers for its finale, while Family Guy was the strongest animated contender for the night with 6.13 million at 9.00 and 6.39 million at 9.30 against 13 million viewers for the start of Lost’s final chapter.

In the episode, when ‘Moe’ discovers a hidden talent for judging contests, he is approached by a television agent to join the ‘American Idol’ judges’ panel. Moe flies to Los Angeles where he tours the Fox lot and receives some sage career advice.

The rerun at 7.30 also had increased figures (3.13 million). Family Guy pulled 7.58 million viewers at 9:00. Cleveland had 5.75 million, while American Dad ended the night with 5.82 million viewers.

A rerun of “Pranks And Greens” airs prior to this episode at 7.30pm. Bart tracks down an immature, college-aged man named Andy Hamilton who was once hailed Springfield Elementary’s best prankster. Meanwhile, Marge is chastised by the women in her social circle for not serving healthy snacks.

Viewership increased at 9:00 for Family Guy (7.22 million) before American Dad ended the night at 9.30 on 5.75 million viewers — a rare win over The Simpsons. The show was third in its slot at 8:00 behind The Amazing Race and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

Fox was last overall for the night and third among  adults 18 – 49. The Simpsons was third in its timeslot behind The Amazing Race and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. A new episode of The Cleveland Show pulled 5.74 million viewers, while a much-hyped 150th episode of Family Guy at 9:00pm had 7.69 million. A Family Guy music special followed at 9.30, drawing 6.97 million viewers, which is a big improvement over what American Dad usually gets in the same slot.

A bomb squad mistakenly blows up Homer’s unattended gym bag, releasing radiation into the city and authorities react by suspending civil liberties. Wiggum and his men install surveillance cameras around Springfield and round up suspected terrorists, including groundskeeper Willie, but when monitoring the nonstop flow of video imagery proves to be too much, Wiggum enlists concerned citizens to help keep the city safe. Authorities install an overload of surveillance cameras – which her majesty the queen (Eddie Izzard) enjoys as a reality tv show. Meanwhile, Lisa becomes fed up with being blonde, so she dyes her hair a dark color.

For “Fox Rocks,” the Simpsons characters sing along to pop sensation Ke$ha’s smash hit “TiK ToK” during a special musical couch gag.

Moe discovers a talent for judging contests and is invited to appear on alongside Randy Jackson, Ellen DeGeneres, Kara DioGuardi, and Simon Cowell. Ryan Seacrest will also be on hand as the host.
