8.59 million people watched the 20th Treehouse of Horror episode last night, meaning The Simpsons was the most-watched show for the night in the entire Animation Domination lineup. The episode was up 5% over the same night last year to a 4.1 adults 18-49 rating.

Tonight will see a Treehouse of Horror episode airing before Halloween for the first time, with Treehouse of Horror XX. The episode includes a musical segment in which Homer sings about his terrible fate in Sweeney Todd-like fashion.

It it the most watched episode since January 07 and the third highest rating of any episode in four years.

The long awaited Treehouse Oh Horror XIX finally airs tonight on Fox in Northern America.
